The IT Academy (ITA) offers short-term training to prepare individuals with the skills and certifications required for employment in Southern Virginia’s growing Information Technology sector. As an authorized CompTIA Academy, ITA will provide a core curriculum leading to CompTIA certification in A+, and Server+.

Students will be able to complete the entire core curriculum in approximately four months, and have the skills necessary to work in Southern Virginia's growing IT sector. ITA will also offer intermediate & advanced level training based on industry needs and employer demands.

Two convenient payment options are available. One payment of $2,250 or four payments (first payment includes a one-time processing fee). Please click on the registration button that matches the payment plan you are selecting.

Work Ready Foundations© is a hands-on program – the preferred and most effective learning method for many adult learners.

Participants will be provided with a range of safety training and the opportunity to practice on electrical and mechanical equipment.

Partnerships with local industries will provide participants with industry exposure and expertise through visits to local manufacturers.

Industrial Maintenance / Mechatronics Training Available!  

Material covered in Introduction to General Mechanical Maintenance will be based on the Siemens Mechatronics Level 1 certification program of study. Training will consist of (2) phases that lead to industry-recognized certifications. Completion of both phases will enable participants to complete assessment leading to Siemens Level 1 certification. It should be noted estimated training hours are dependent upon trainee competency level.
